Grandparents Day

Emma celebrated her first grandparents day by introducing herself to Gma & Gpa Murray and Gr Gma Rosie. (She also got some good cuddle time with Gma and Gpa Wilson.)

More visitors

Emma enjoyed meeting some friends and family while we were in the hospital.

With Gpa Wilson Meeting Uncle Ben

With Kindra (Andy had a cold so he didn't hold her, but he was there!)
Our friend Janel also popped in while working at the hospital - we'll get a picture next time!

Firsts

We (like all new parents I'm sure) keep getting excited about all of Emma's firsts. Now granted, at 3 days old, it's pretty hard to do something that's not a first, but it's still exciting! So here are a few pictures of Emma's firsts.

First time in her Cubs hat - daddy swears it's close to her last, but she just looks so dang cute in it I doubt that's true!

First time meeting "Auntie Juzie"

First flowers - roses (10 for the 10th) from Auntie Juzie & first floral delivery from Gma & Gpa Murray

First family football night - she was born on NFL season opener

Daddy gave Emma her first bath - before that she was only touched with gloves & the hat she had worn was placed in a biohazard bag!

All clean - nice job Daddy!

"Just" some more Emma pictures

Our little glow worm in the bili bed

Emma's first hat was considered biohazard - perhaps Patrick's right and I birthed a super hero!

Murray Family enjoying some NFL football!

Some new favorite pictures!!

It's been a big day for Emma. In the middle of the night she had a little bit of a temp and after stealing my baby for hours (seriously, like 2), poking her, and doing some tests, we found out she's a bit jaundice and a little dehydrated. :o( So she's been getting a little formula to supplement breast feeding and has had to stay in a bili bed aside from feedings. She's a little champ, soaking up the rays and giving us chances to rest, but it's definitely hard to keep her out of our arms! She's back in the nursery as I write this being poked a bit more, hopefully coming back able to spend more time out of that crazy little bed.
We're expecting a few more visitors today and plan on being discharged tomorrow morning.

Emma Laurette has arrived!

After 9 months of anticipation (and 5 extra days), our baby girl is here! She's beautiful, perfect, and no doubt a genius! We're soaking up every moment and are just amazed by her!

Right after daddy cut the cord - welcome to the world sweet girl!

Holding her close for the first time!

With fabulous Dr. Borow!
First picture with Daddy!
Gma & Gpa Wilson were there to meet her shortly after her birth

Daddy gave Emma her first bath later on her birthday - he's also becoming a diaper changing champ!

One of her first visitors - Auntie Juzie
With her future 'nanny' - Aunt Kathy/Bonnie

After a successful bath/diaper change - way to go dad!
With a very proud Grandpa!

Sweatshop Grandma Came To Town

Sewing on a ma-chine,
Made some curtains,
Hung them up,
And made the room look so keen.

Ok, so that's pretty cheesy, but the curtains really have made the room look even more finished!

The Irish Blessing from my friend Brittany also makes a wonderful addition to the room!!

Super husband

Steve had told me that if the baby came Friday, I wouldn't have a bathroom, but if (s)he waited until Saturday, there was a good chance. I think he meant this past weekend, but it seems like that may be more accurate about the coming one. The floor tiles look great, but took a bit longer to dry than anticipated, so we're a little behind. Oh well. It's coming together really nicely and will be great when it's finished. And just like I have faith this baby will eventually make his/her way out in to the world, I have just as much faith that the bathroom will be finished. Eventually. Bathroom flooring
